The QS World University Rankings compiles six metrics to effectively capture university performance, where 1368 institutions in the world have been ranked. UMP is listed at the rank 751–800 in QS World University Rankings 2020, for its first time entry into this ranking.


QS Top 50 Under 50

#101 - 150

The QS Top 50 Under 50 ranks the best universities in the world which are under 50 years old, allowing some of the world’s top young universities to shine. Since 2015, it has tripled its range to include the Next 100 Under 50. UMP is ranked at 101–150 in the QS Top 50 Under 50 (Next 100 Under 50) 2020.




QS University Ranking Asia 2020


The QS World University Rankings: Asia highlights the top universities in Asia, by using 11 indicators. UMP is ranked 134th in QS World University Rankings: Asia 2020. This makes UMP as the first university in the Malaysian Technological University Network (MTUN) to place itself in the Top 150 best universities in Asia.

QS Stars is a rating system that provides a detailed look at an institution, enabling you to identify which universities are the best in the specific topics that you care about, like program strength, facilities, graduate employability, social responsibility, inclusiveness, and more. A total of 1 Broad Subject and 6 Subjects from UMP have been ranked in QS World University Rankings by Subject 2020, making UMP as the leading university in the Malaysian Technological University Network (MTUN) to have most subjects being ranked.




QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2020

#301 - 500

The QS Graduate Employability Rankings is an innovative exercise designed to provide the world’s students with a unique tool by which they can compare university performance in terms of graduate employability outcomes and prospects. UMP is ranked at 301-500 in the QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2020, which places UMP as 7th spot in Malaysia.

The UI GreenMetric World University Ranking provides the results regarding the current condition and policies related to Green Campus and Sustainability in the universities all over the world. UI Greenmetric World University Ranking 2019 has listed UMP at the 76th spot in the world, 21st in Asia, 12th in Southeast Asia, and 5th in Malaysia.

Webometrics Ranking of World Universities 2020


Webometrics is the largest academic ranking of Higher Education Institutions offering every six months an independent, objective, free, open scientific exercise for providing reliable, multidimensional, updated and useful information about the performance of universities from all over the world. UMP is ranked 1268th in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities 2020. This result places UMP as the 8th best university in Malaysia under this ranking.
